Honeymoon trip - part 3
The next destination we went was Paris, France! I am sure every girl out there would love to spend Christmas there with their love one. It's such a romantic city. People are so nice, food is fantastic and shopping is always a must in Europe since it's cheaper to buy it there than in where I live - tax free!
To be honest, I am truly grateful to be able to travel around the world at such a young age. Thanks to my parents for letting me study in Switzerland, a wonderful and peaceful country, let me travel around during school breaks to see more and learn more about the different culture and different lifestyle, let me learn to take care of myself in good and bad times. Without these knowledge, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
In the previous blog, I mentioned that trains in Europe are super convenient. We took the train from Geneva to Paris in less than 4 hours! During the ride, we are able to see the amazing scenery along the way. Unfortunately, I did not take any photos because the window of the train was quite dirty and scratched. Anyway, we arrived in Paris around noon time, checked in and went straight to business! We went shopping in Ave. Saint Honore and Faubourg. Great times! Paris is packed with people! Some were buying last minute X'mas presents, most of them are tourists from other countries.
Of course, the first meal we had was French Cuisine! Oysters and french onion soup was a MUST!
So, since none of the shops opened on Christmas day. My hubby had a VERY good suggestion - Disneyland!!! We weren't sure if it was going to open. We checked the internet and called the concierge but we couldn't find out. We woke up super early that morning, knowing that Disney might or might not be opened. He called the concierge to ask. When I got out of shower, he said that it was opened! I was super duper happy! I've never spent my Christmas in Disneyland! We had actually gone to the Disneyland in Paris a few years back but it was FREEZING and there were a LOT of people, so we weren't able to really enjoy the moment. However, the weather this year was so much better, not too cold and not much people! I guess everyone's staying home with their family to enjoy their Christmas lunch/dinner...
So that was our whole day at Disneyland. We went to both the theme parks - Disneyland and Disney Studio and we also went to their village too!
Today is the last day of 2013! I here wish all of you a Happy New Year! See you next year with my last blog of my honeymoon!! Stay tuned!
