SaSa & Mannings Haul
Who comes out of SaSa or Mannings only getting the things they really need to get? Admit it, once you go in, you will not come out with just the items you look for.. At least a few more things here and there.. I am no exception!
So... it was supposed to be only a dinner and a movie night with my hubby, my hubby's friend and his gf... Since we were going to pass by SaSa.. my evil plan started to build up. I've been longing to go to SaSa because I wanted to get some Caudalie after I tried their cleansing water I bought in Sephora. For those who have watched my Sephora Haul would know that I said to compare the Bioderma & Caudalie cleansing water. I've been using Bioderma cleansing water for quite awhile now and I love it! I have used other cleansing waters but either they have too much of a fragrance or they sting my eyes, which I am not very fond of... Since I used the Bioderma cleansing water, I've been very very loyal. The last time I went to Mannings, I got their Bioderma cleansing water set right away! The set contains 3 different sizes of the cleansing water: a big one, medium and a tiny one. The big one comes with a pump which is super convenient. If you want to get them, they still have it in Mannings! I do not remember the price but it was a really good deal! The Bioderma cleansing water is not as hydrating as the Caudalie one. The Caudalie is very hydrating, and removed makeup very very well! It makes my skin very smooth after. The Bioderma cleans the face very well also but it dries out your skin. So I think the Caudalie cleansing water would be best for autumn/winter!! I am thinking to bring it to my vacation to Europe - Paris & Geneva!!
Okay, back to the main story.. I went to the Caudalie section and got my toner, then I picked up the hydrating serum since I also wanted to try that! Winter came and the weather made my face really irritated and dehydrated. I heard great news about the serum so I wanted to try and see if it worked well on my skin. After the 2 items, I went to to line up in the cashier. The sales told me that they have promotion right now. If you buy 3 items of Caudalie, I will get 1 item for free! Of course, as a skincare hoarder, I go back to the section right away and got their moisturizer and their eye cream. After paying, I realized that the 3 items were 20% off of their retail price! Great deal!
After SaSa, we walked pass Mannings and went straight to dinner at Tsui Wah. When I walked pass Mannings, the first thing was to glance through the store, I saw the Olay CC cream! I wanted to get it but we were in a hurry so I didn't want the others to wait for me... So after the movie, my hubby's friend asked to walk the direction where Mannings was! So I told my hubby I wanted to get something in Mannings. Once again, my evil plan worked. We walked in and took the CC cream right away. So as I was lining up, I saw they have some sets on the side. I walked and picked up the Avene set and the Vichy set. I have been wanting to try these two brands for a long time but I guess I just didn't have the urge to try them. Since they have the set, I didn't hesitate and bought both set. I know I know.. I only have one face.. This would be too much for me.. but hey.. If I don't open them all at once, they will still be okay :P
So I got home and tried the Caudalie right away. I couldn't wait. I removed my makeup with the Caudalie Cleansing water, then used my own Michael Todd True Organics Honey & Oat Cleanser, Caudalie Toner, Serum, eye cream and their moisturizer! It was AMAZING! My face felt so smooth! The dry patches on my face were gone right away! I will have to try them a few more days to make sure it's really working on my skin.
