Creme Simon - Skin care review
I remembered I was surfing through some sort of sites and found this blogger in Singapore blogging about this brand. So I went on their website and checked it out. So Creme Simon is a French skin care brand found in 1860. They believed that the "skin is defined by where you live". So each individual product has 3 different symbols at the back. They have adapted their skin care to suit each individual. How thoughtful!

The founder, Joseph Simon, discovered a pure concoction of 7 careful selective flowers and plants: damask rose, jasmine, iris, neroli, patchouli, tonka bean and vanilla bourbon with their healing and brightening properties. He understood the powerful yet gentle effectiveness of the plants and
flowers. So they are the key natural active ingredients from the derived
botanical extracts. They are able to retain the fragrance of the
ingredients. They are made under French expertise, quality and
production. Confirmed by scientific tests, the skin care can help to boost radiance, skin cell regeneration and oxygenate properties!
I was about to purchase the items online but as you all know, I went to Australia during CNY so I got a chance to get their products in the newly opened Sephora in Sydney. I got their cleansing foam, day/night moisturizer, face scrub and their sleeping mask.

The day cream and night cream surprise me the most. Okay, before I say anything about the moisturizer, let me tell you about what kind of moisturizer I like. I am those people who like to use gel-like moisturizer instead of those moisturizer that feels like any regular "face cream". ( am I making sense?) My face just doesn't like those moisturizer that has some sort of "oil" in them. If I put those on my face, my face will turn into a fryer next morning and a few small pimples will grow. So, when I look for moisturizer, it HAS to be like gel. A couple good examples would be Tatcha's Moisture Rich Silk Cream and Clinique's Dramatically Difference Moisturizing Gel. I love these 2 moisturizers!! Okay, back to the day and night moisturizer from Creme Simon. When I first purchased it, I did not try any of the Creme Simon on my hands. I simply grabbed the products and went to the cashier. So, when I first tried the night moisturizer, I was surprised it was a gel moisturizer! When I pumped the product out, I thought it was going to be those oil-base moisturizer but it turned out to be really a really moiturizing gel cream!
The face scrub uses 2 types of natural beads in their product. Both of the beads are tiny and does not scratch your face. A small amount can cover your whole face because there's so much granules in there! Some of the scrubs in the market either have beads that can scratch your face or either they have too little beads you can even feel like they are doing anything! But this is different. This scrub actually works wonder. I have tried a lot of scrubs in the market since I have black heads and pimples. I like to scrub those out once in awhile to clean my skin. I have sensitive and dry skin after I gave birth. When I use clay mask sometimes, it dried out my skin and my face felt super tight and felt like it's going to tear apart. This scrub does not dry out my face and it brightens it as well!
The sleeping mask is also a great product. I usually put on a mask after I scrub my face, usually a hydrating mask. This mask really hydrates my skin. You know how sometimes if your face is really dry and you put moisturizer on it, there's a stinging feeling to your dry spot? Well, my skin was having a moment 2 weeks ago when I tried it on, it was stinging my face. I ignored it of course - I guess I am used to this feeling since my face is always reacting. I put the mask on for around 20 minutes and went to rinse it. The stinging feeling went away after 2-3 minutes. After I washed my face, the dry spot was half gone and my face felt so bouncy and plumped! I haven't had this feeling for such a long time. It's like baby skin all over again =P.
The last product I got was their makeup remover. The texture is like the Bioderma cleansing water. I put lip stain, mascara, liquid and pen eyeliner, lipstick, shadow on my hand. I put a small amount of product on the cotton pad and started to clean it like I would on my face and that's the result! It was wiped clean! Very impressed. I was curently using the Tatcha cleansing oil / Shu Uemura cleansing oil. I changed to this makeup remover right after I got it and this stuff is amazing. Too bad I don't use waterproof cosmetics, I am not able to test out whether it can remove waterproof cosmetics completely. Anyway, maybe it's my excuse to get some now =P.
Overall, Creme Simon skin care is actually REALLY GOOD! The scent of all the products are similar, it has a flowery smell to it. Personally, I am not a big fan of flowery scent so I do not have any perfume with flowery smell. However, this smell of Creme Simon is not bad. It has a little bit of flowery smell but it's not overpowering. It has a decent smell and I actually like it. I like how their products are all non-comedogenic, made with over 90% of natural ingredients and
are free of parabens, silicones, alcohol, sulphates, artificial colours,
phenoxyethanol and other bad chemicals that harm your skin. I love natural products. They always do magic to my skin and this collection is one of them! Now I felt dumb not getting the rest of their products when I was in Sephora Sydney.
I actually just got the rest of their products online! It includes: toner, serum, winter version of the day and night moisturizer, eye gel and UV protector. Can't wait for the rest of their collection to arrive at home.
